These lovely dogs lost their master and are so bonded together, our hope is they can be adopted together. While they are okay with other dogs, they must be introduced slowly and properly and any resident dog should be good temperament.

MONK:
Well, I am a six-year old German Shepherd.  I have not had an easy life so far. I have lived outside too much and I so crave companionship. I have a loyal German shepherd heart and that means I want to be near my family. My friend, Vegas, has her bio on this website.   We have been together for all of her life – 4 years.  I hope we can continue that.  I have had a  flea allergy and I do have some scaring on my back legs, but I am in good health now that rescue has found me and is taking good care of me.  I am a big male, but I am neutered and between you and me, I am a pussy cat.  I love to have my tummy rubbed!  I am hoping for a real home at long last for me and for my friend. I am ready to give my heart away in true shepherd fashion. You will find I am your best friend and protector. With me by your side you will always be safe and sound, and, oh yes, very much loved. I have so much to give. I hope that you are the one who will come for me and make me all yours. I will be greatful all of my life.

My name is Vega and I am a four year old Long Haired German Shepherd.  I find myself in need of a new permanent home because my owner is no longer in a position to take care of me.  I also have a companion, Monk.  He is also on this website.  He is a wonderful dog and I hope we can stay together -- he does, too.  Please take a look at him.  You may not be familiar with long coated German Shepherds.  Only ten percent of all GS puppies have long hair.  We are special! We do not have an undercoat and we do not shed as much as short hair GS.  I have also "read" that we are, and I quote: "intelligent, good natured and hard workers with a great sense of humor; forever trying to please and love affection of any kind.  I am a good and loyal shepherd and would love to be yours. I promise to love and protect you all of my life. Am I not being modest if I tell you I am very beautiful? And that people will stop you all the time and ask about me?
