Fiona is truly a miracle dog. Abandoned when she became pregnant and left to starve, she also had a broken jaw and a deep cut on her tongue. Somehow, she managed to still find scraps enough to keep her alive and to get them into her body. It must have been unimaginably painful for her. Her will to live is very strong. So young, at barely two years old, and only 30 lbs., she held out, had a large litter of puppies, was a great mother, keeping her whole little family safe and cared for. Now her puppies are in rescue and all going to good homes. It's Fiona's turn. Sweet and shy, she adores people once she realizes they aren't going to hurt her. People of all ages, from children to older people are her best friends. She likes cats, too. What a wonderful dog! Her natural personality makes her a good family dog or best friend to an individual. She would be so grateful for a safe place, food in her bowl, and a soft bed. Love would be a bonus she can't even dream about, but when you pet her gently and tell her you love her, you will see it all in her eyes. She will adore you all of her days and be the best dog she has it in her to be. She will know you saved her, and so will you.

Adoption Donations: Please know that 100% of our funds are used for vetting the dogs. Our rescue policy requires the following: *All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permintted at the foster home. *A visit to the applicant's home when all members are present. *Homes with small children must have a fenced yard. *Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being applied for before any adoption can be completed.
