Nellie is young, strong, and healthy. Not even having had her first birthday yet, she is full of life and would love to play in your yard, go for walks, and enjoy life with you. A cell dog, she is a graduate of that famous program where a dog lives with an inmate 24/7 and is trained to be an ideal pet. Dogs who graduate from this program are well house trained and have learned many commands with the help of a professional trainer. They walk well on a leash and have been well socialized. Nellie likes people, other dogs, and would love to show you her stuff! When you say "come", she comes. When you say "sit", she sits. She has been trained to both verbal and silent commands. She is a combination of two breeds that are known for loyalty and devotion to their families. What a wonderful dog! This outgoing girl would love to be yours. She would make you smile every day.

She is a lovely dog but prefers a quiet environment with no kids and the company of another dog.  Please complete the application on the website and once the application is complete, Nellie will be transported to the area for your meeting.

Nellie is the last of her family to become adopted.  Her Mother and 2 sibling were adopted and she is still seeking her forever home.  She is on medication called Proin which is very inexpensive to prevent urinary leakage.  Many female dogs incur this inconvience.

Nellie has been in the Cell Dog training program for many months while waiting for the home to love her.  This program partners inmates who have been trained as dog handlers with dog waiting adoption.  They stay with their handler until ahome can be secured.  Nellie is loved by her handler but she does need a family and move on so another can be accepted into the program.  She currently is 1 of 64 dogs at this institution.

Nellie is a courtesy listing. If you are interested in her, please contact:
