While Shila is a beautiful and smart dog.. she does have a high prey drive and will not be placed with cats. She is very smart and loving but will do best as an only dog and does require a dog savvy home. This girl has been so starved she will look for food everywhere and needs some work on "take nice".

Shilah has a lovely, soft name because she is that kind of dog and deserves to live and be loved. She is young and has silky thick fur that you will love to pet. Workers who have spent time with her say she is sweet and loving. She would be so grateful to have a family to cherish her. In return she would give you all her great heart and the renowned shepherd loyalty. Her pure white coat shimmers in the sun. She would look so good walking next to you and would love to play in your yard, lie next to you each night, please you in any way she could. Being a strong and sturdy dog, she would be a good running companion and would enjoy outdoor activities. She would be a great companion for a single individual, or a family. If you are looking for a real beauty, you have found her in Shilah.
NOTE FROM HER FOSTER; Even though she is a very large dog, Shilah is very gentle with people. She is also very, very smart and nicely house broken.  She has obviously not had enough food in her short past. She wants lots of affection and will give it back, but she is not clingy. Her temperament is so good that I can take anything out of her mouth. I have found that she loves to be brushed, which is great, as it will keep her gorgeous white coat looking its best. It is my opinion that she would probably not be good with cats. I think Shilah is an exceptional dog and will train easily.

AND MORE ON THIS SWEET DOG FROM HER FOSTER; I heard her voice for the first time today - what a throaty husky howl she has!  I like it, but then again I had 3 huskies and it was quite nostalgic. And when she wants to be charming she gives very gentle nuzzles and kisses - quite a mix in this girl.
