Zeke is sleek, with those long, long legs. Built to be a running companion, he is young, healthy, and made for speed and endurance. And there is so much more! He would love to be a companion to an individual, or be a family dog. He likes people, other dogs, and is so friendly that he was voted the shelter's favorite dog. He IS shy of new things at first. It takes him some time to feel that he is safe. The vacuum cleaner is not his friend just now, and then there was that bright, shiney cookie sheet that looked dangerous...Zeke already knows many commands, such as "sit" and "down", and it is so cute when he plops right down into his sit the minute a treat comes out. He is good on a leash, loves to ride in the car, and his favorite activity in the house is to be at your side for a head scratch. Oh, and did we mention he is already house trained?
Zeke also has us all guessing at what his genes might hold. We think some German shepherd, but it also looks like there might be some greyhound hiding in there. Perhaps some Doberman? Go ahead, you guess, too! What we don't have to guess about is what a great dog he is. He would dearly love to come home to your house and show you all his good points. Hide the vacuum and cookie sheet for now!
Note: because of his size, we are hoping to find him a home with no children. Children tend to make him nervous. Come meet Zeke!
P.S. Zeke says to tell you he is very fond of his dogbed, especially if you put it right next to your bed, where he can be next to you all night.

Zeke's early lack of socialization makes him very nervous around new people.. so patience will be needed and best to not place with young children for this reason....children can be loud and busy making for a stressful situation for this dog.
